New York International Auto Show

Ushering in the latest automotive trends, the 2019 New York International Auto Show showcases an incredible collection of cutting edge designs and futuristic innovation. More than four floors of displays from the world’s top automakers will feature the newest and latest concept vehicles. Nearly 1,000 cars and trucks will be on display at North America’s first and most attended auto show dating back to 1900. NYIAS will be held at the Jacob K. Javits Center, April 19th until the 28th

Beetlejuice on Broadway

The ghost with the most is coming to the Great White Way this February! Director Alex Timbers tells the story of Lydia Deetz, A strange and unusual teenager obsessed with the whole “Being Dead Thing”. Lucky for Lydia, her new house is haunted by a recently deceased couple and a degenerate demon with a thing for stripes. When Lydia calls on Beetlejuice to scare away anyone with a pulse, he comes up with the perfect plan involving exorcism, arranged marriage and the biggest sandworms Broadway has ever seen. Beetlejuice the Musical opens April 25th at the Winter Garden Theatre, 1634 Broadway and 51st St.

Macy’s Flower Show

Welcome to spring Macy’s style! Take the F train up to 34th street (Herald Square) this April to see the spring time fun that is the annual Flower Show at Macy’s New York. Each year, Macy’s is transformed into breathtaking floral scenes with blooms, fantasy flowers and lush plants from around the world. Millions of guests file in during the two-week exhibition as the store blossoms with themed events, specialty gardens and more. Macy’s Herald Square is located at 34th St, between 6th and 7th Aves., the showing runs from March 24th thru April 7th.

Baseball Season!

You know it is officially spring time when the Yankees and the Mets officially take the field. Starting at the end of March, the 28th to be exact, Aaron Judge and the Yankees open at home vs the Baltimore Orioles and on April 2nd, vs the Detroit Tiger at The New Yankee Stadium. Noah “Thor” Syndergaard and his Mets throw the first pitch of their 2019 season at home in Citi Field vs the Florida Marlins on April 2nd. Tribeca Film Festival

The 18th annual Tribeca Film Festival brings together visionaries across industries and diverse audiences to celebrate the power of film. A platform for independent filmmaking, creative expression and immersive entertainment, Tribeca supports emerging and established voices, discovers award-winning filmmakers, curates innovative and interactive experiences, and introduces new technology and ideas through panels, premieres, exhibitions, and live performances. Tribeca Film Festival starts April 24th thru May 5th.

Gulliver’s Gate

Ignite your imagination! Discover the interactive and immersive world of miniatures and marvel at the recreation of some of the world’s most notable landmarks at Gulliver’s Gate. Explore miniature versions of New York City and over 25 different cities from 5 different continents. Leave the land of the larger behind as you explore! Gulliver’s Gate is located at 216 West 44th St and 7th Ave and is open 10 AM until 7 PM Daily.

NYC Craft Beer Fest

Do you fancy yourself a craft beer connoisseur? Then we have the perfect fest to wet your whistle to. The New York City Beer Fest, which runs Friday, April 5th to Saturday, April 6th, is a craft beer tasting from approximately 75 breweries and 150 craft beers, focused on seasonal and NY selections. You can purchase tickets for each session (here). NYC Craft Beer Fest is located at 535 West 28th St, between 10th and 11th Avenues, April 5th and 6th.

Jump into the Light: Immerse yourself into the world of virtual and augmented realities. They have tons of amazing VR games and experiences waiting for you! With everything from VR skydiving to waves of hungry zombies to VR painting and kid friendly games, ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE! Jump into the Light is easily located at 180 Orchard St, Unit D and Stanton St (5 doors down from our Orchard Street entrance), every day from 1 PM until 11 Pm, closed on Tuesdays.

Graff Tours

We’ve partnered with graffiti tour company Graff Tours to bring you a unique new way to experience the Lower East Side neighborhood and its vibrant street art scene. Sign up at our concierge desk for a tour, a graffiti lesson with a local artist, or both!

The 90 minute tour starts with a visit to Jean-Michel Basquiat's old studio and the old home of The CBGB Rock Venue, then winds through the Centre-fuge Art Project that is using the New York City Subway as its canvas and finishes where Keith Haring once stood underneath Manhattan's largest street art mural.

If you opt for the lesson, you’ll learn tips and techniques of aerosol art from an authentic NYC graffiti artist. This unique hands-on lesson allows you to create your own art project to take home at the end of the experience. Paint, canvas, and gloves are all provided.
