Macy’s Day Parade

November 22nd will bring the Annual Macy’s Day Parade back to NYC! The world famous parade runs from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM and begins at 77th St and Central Park West continuing all the way down to 34th St and Herald Square. No ticket purchase is necessary to see the parade as you’d be able to view it anywhere along 6th Ave. For directions and assistance in planning ahead for the parade please see your Concierge.

Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree Lighting

Just a short 6 days after the Macy’s Day Parade comes the annual Rockefeller Center Tree Lighting Ceremony! Officially signaling the beginning of the holiday season, the tree lighting ceremony at 30 Rockefeller Plaza will feature the lighting of a 75 foot tall tree and will be on display throughout the holiday season until January 7th. The ceremony itself will be on Wednesday, November 28th from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM and will feature a to-be-announced star studded lineup of performances. Spanning over the course of a week from November 8th to November 15th- DOC NYC is a documentary film festival heading into its 9th year of inception. This year the festival will be celebrating a wide array of films including “Quincy”, a critically acclaimed documentary about legendary producer Quincy Jones, “Won’t You Be My Neighbor?”- a highly acclaimed film detailing the life of Fred Rogers, “Pope Francis: A Man Of His Word”, a film about Pope Francis directed by three time Oscar Nominated documentarian Wim Wenders alongside many, many others. A majority of screenings will be taking place at the Cinepolis Chelsea with a few events taking place at the IFC Center and the SVA Theatre. For additional details please see your Concierge.

Live Concerts

November has no shortage of Live Music throughout the month! Billy Joel will be continuing his Madison Square Residency on November 4th and 13th. The legendary Elton John will be performing at Madison Square Garden November 9th as part of his farewell tour. Classic Rock Revivalists Greta Van Fleet will be performing 2 nights at Terminal 5 on November 27th and 29th. Irving Plaza will be hosting Indie Rock heavyweights Cursive on November 7th and the great Pusha T doing 2 nights on November 25th and 26th. Brooklyn Steel has a stacked November concert schedule featuring a who’s who of Indie Rock and Alternative royalty with Julien Baker playing 2 nights on November 6th and 7th, the highly influential Pixies doing 2 nights on November 18th and 19th, Hobo Johnson on November 15th and The Menzingers on November 23rd. Disney On Ice

Disney on Ice returns to NYC this month with several shows happening at the Barclays Center over the span of a few days with Mickeys Search Party-  a brand new adventure filled with world-class skating, high-flying acrobatics, and unexpected stunts featuring characters from all across the Disney universe! The shows will run from November 7th to 11th with 11:00 AM, 3:00 PM and 7:00 PM shows to choose from. Please see your Concierge for tickets.

The New York Comedy Festival

The 15th year of the New York Comedy Festival commences this November! The festival will be running from November 5th through the 11th across numerous venues- including the legendary Beacon Theatre, Town Hall and Caroline’s on Broadway. This year will feature Tracy Morgan, Conan O’Brien, Marc Maron, David Cross, Jen Kirkman, Joey Coco Diaz, Ari Shaffir, Tig Notaro, Bill Burr and very literally countless others as well as live Podcast tapings of the acclaimed Harmontown, Never Seen It with Kyle Ayers, The Boogie Monster with Kyle Kinane and Dave Stone, Sway In The Morning and many others. Radio City Christmas Spectacular

Returning this year in its 85th year is the annual Radio City Christmas Spectacular! This classic Christmas spectacle offers tap dancers, a flying Santa Claus and the world-famous synchronized precision dancing of the Rockettes. Graff Tours

We’ve partnered with graffiti tour company Graff Tours to bring you a unique new way to experience the Lower East Side neighborhood and its vibrant street art scene. Sign up at our concierge desk for a tour, a graffiti lesson with a local artist, or both!

The 90 minute tour starts with a visit to Jean-Michel Basquiat's old studio and the old home of The CBGB Rock Venue, then winds through the Centre-fuge Art Project that is using the New York City Subway as its canvas and finishes where Keith Haring once stood underneath Manhattan's largest street art mural.

If you opt for the lesson, you’ll learn tips and techniques of aerosol art from an authentic NYC graffiti artist. This unique hands-on lesson allows you to create your own art project to take home at the end of the experience. Paint, canvas, and gloves are all provided.

Meeting Location: Meet at Think Coffee 1 Bleecker St. in Manhattan Northwest Corner of Bleecker St. and The Bowery . The tour ends where it begins.
