Macy’s Day Parade

November 26th will bring the Annual Macy’s Day Parade back to NYC! The world famous parade runs from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM and begins at 77th St and Central Park West continuing all the way down to 34th St and Herald Square. No ticket purchase is necessary to see the parade as you’d be able to view it anywhere along 6th Ave. For directions and assistance in planning ahead for the parade please see your Concierge.

Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree Lighting

Just over a week after the Macy’s Day Parade comes the annual Rockefeller Center Tree Lighting Ceremony! Officially signaling the beginning of the holiday season, the tree lighting ceremony at 30 Rockefeller Plaza will feature the lighting of a 75 foot tall tree and will be on display throughout the holiday season until January 7th. The ceremony itself will be on Wednesday, December 4th from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM and will feature a to-be-announced star studded lineup of performances. Spanning over the course of a week from November 6th to November 15th- DOC NYC is a documentary film festival heading into its 10th year of inception. This year the festival will be celebrating a wide array of films including “Once We Were Brothers: Robbie Robertson & His Band”, a critically acclaimed documentary about legendary musician Robbie Robertson, “Ask Dr. Ruth”- a highly acclaimed film detailing the life of Dr. Ruth Westheimer alongside many, many others. A majority of screenings will be taking place at the Cinepolis Chelsea with a few events taking place at the IFC Center and the SVA Theatre. For additional details please see your Concierge.

Live Concerts

November has no shortage of Live Music throughout the month! Thrash Metal Legends Slayer will play their final NYC concert at Madison Square Garden on November 8th. Billy Joel will be continuing his Madison Square Garden residency on November 15th. Across town on November 15th will have New York Emo legends Taking Back Sunday celebrating their 20 year anniversary with a headlining show at Terminal 5 with Jaden and Willow Smith taking the same stage later in the month on November 26th. November 3rd will be a Hardcore revival at Webster Hall with Knocked Loose, Stick To Your Guns, Rotting Out and SeeYouSpaceCowboy bringing down the stage. Squeaky voiced Indie Rock darlings Charly Bliss will also be performing at Webster Hall on November 13th with eclectic Indie Rock band Ra Ra Riot taking the stage on November 16th. Brooklyn Steel has a stacked November concert schedule featuring Drone darling Chelsea Wolfe on November 1st, the legendary Mos Def taking the stage on November 3rd, the multi-talented Anderson Paak on November 17th, Stoner Metal staples Electric Wizard on November 19th, a 2 day residency from Indie Rock heavy hitter Angel Olsen on November 21st and 23rd with Progressive Metal Icons Between The Buried & Me closing out the month on November 30th. Disney On Ice

Disney on Ice returns to NYC this month with several shows happening at the Barclays Center over the span of a few days with Road Trip Adventures-  a brand new adventure filled with world-class skating, high-flying acrobatics, and unexpected stunts featuring characters from all across the Disney universe! The shows will run from November 15th to 17th with 11:00 AM, 3:00 PM and 7:00 PM shows to choose from. Please see your Concierge for tickets.

The New York Comedy Festival

The 16th year of the New York Comedy Festival commences this November! The festival will be running from November 4th through the 10th across numerous venues- including the legendary Beacon Theatre, Town Hall and Caroline’s on Broadway. This year will feature Stephen Colbert, Comedy Bang Bang, Tom Segura, Pete Holmes, Nick Kroll, Norm MacDonald, Bill Maher and very literally countless others as well as live Podcast tapings of the most critically acclaimed comedy podcasts. Radio City Christmas Spectacular

Returning this year in its 86th year is the annual Radio City Christmas Spectacular! This classic Christmas spectacle offers tap dancers, a flying Santa Claus and the world-famous synchronized precision dancing of the Rockettes. The shows begin on November 8th and run all the way through until January. For more information and tickets please see your Concierge.

Graff Tours

We’ve partnered with graffiti tour company Graff Tours to bring you a unique new way to experience the Lower East Side neighborhood and its vibrant street art scene. Sign up at our concierge desk for a tour, a graffiti lesson with a local artist, or both!

The 90 minute tour starts with a visit to Jean-Michel Basquiat's old studio and the old home of The CBGB Rock Venue, then winds through the Centre-fuge Art Project that is using the New York City Subway as its canvas and finishes where Keith Haring once stood underneath Manhattan's largest street art mural.

If you opt for the lesson, you’ll learn tips and techniques of aerosol art from an authentic NYC graffiti artist. This unique hands-on lesson allows you to create your own art project to take home at the end of the experience. Paint, canvas, and gloves are all provided.

Tour ( $150 for up to 5 people), Daily at 1pm*
Meeting Location: Meet at Think Coffee 1 Bleecker St. in Manhattan Northwest Corner of Bleecker St. and The Bowery . The tour ends where it begins.
